Welcome to my Internship Portfolio!
In the fall of 2018, I complected my internship for Loyola University. For my internship, I offered four web-based professional development sessions. Each session was focused on one specific technology tool to use in the classroom. The sessions were set up in the same format, with there being steps to follow to complete each session. Within each session, participants were required to learn about the tool, explore the tool, and create an artifact using the tool. Once they created the artifact, they had to use it in their classroom and reflect on the effectiveness of using it. I believe this internship was successful because teachers were actually able to use the tools (with ease) in their classroom after viewing/ reading the information I provided. Afterwards, teachers completed a reflection answering some questions about their successes and their struggles while using the tool. Those were two of my main objectives, which were met (see Artifacts and Reflections page). I have included this information within the "Reflections" part of this portfolio. Another one of my goals that I stated in my proposal was for teachers to move forward on the SAMR model. I believe this was achieved because participating teachers were able to use these tech tools to engage their students. They simply were not substituting, but enhancing their lessons using technology. Below you will find the different parts of my internship.
