Key Concept 11:
Multimedia Production
11.1 Candidates will be able to create multimedia products that facilitate K-12 instructional and professional learning goals, and implement an instructional design model to facilitate student multimedia production.
The next two artifacts showcase multimedia projects that I created using three or more media sources. Both projects facilitate third grade learning goals in the classroom.
In ET 620, I worked with a partner to create a "thinglink" presentation that connected with the ELA curriculum on pioneer experiences. This project connected to the ISTE and Common Core State Standards. It was self-paced for students and was designed using the DDD-E model, focusing only on the "Decide, Design, and Develop" parts (See our planning template here). Within our "thinglink" a varity of multimedia is included (text, video, audio, graphics, etc).
In ET 620, I also had to create a digital story. This digital story was on the immigration process and connected to the third grade ELA curriculum. Within this video, I have included sound, voice-overs, and graphics to engage the viewer. This digital story was used as an introduction to the topic of immigration. After watching the video, students' goal would be to be prepared to share any new learning about the immigration process in a quick write online post.
